Comet 103P Hartley
Unlike most deep sky targets, comets look different each time they pass close enough to view. Discovered in 1986 by Malcom Hartley, this comet has an orbital period of 6.46 years. Image taken at the Peach State star gaze. Created from 25 subframes of 2 minutes each, using an Orion 6 inch Rictchey Chretien with an f/6.3 focal reducer, a modified Canon DSLR, atop a CGEM mount.
