After storms in the night, clear skies this morning!!  Seeing about 6/10  The Sun’s activity is low with only one C-class flare in the last two days.  Two active regions AR2454 and 56 with a total spot count of 16 and total spot area of 60 millionths.   Today a full disk image in three wavelengths and close ups in WL of 2454 and 56 and the prominences at the Eastern and Western limb in Ha.

Saturday morning some high cumulus clouds but still very good seeing.  The Sun shows four very small active regions with a total sunspot area of 50 millionths and 10 spots.  Flare activity still low with two C-class flares in the last two days.  Today the three full disk images and still another close up of the large horseshoe shaped filament.

Friday 11/13, the skies were clear and the seeing was at 8/10.  The sun is quiet with only two C-class flares and two active regions.  Total active region area shows only 9 sunspots covering only 40 millionths in 2448 and 2449.  This is real low.  However the large filament is still there but the Western side has very much decayed, and is almost completely gone, resulting in a very nice horseshoe shaped filament, still very much worth to observe.

After almost 2 weeks of rain and clouds finally a day of sunshine with seeing of about 7/10.  Solar activity medium with 4 C-class flares in the last two days in 4 Active Regions, covering a total of 250 millionths.  Total Sunspot count today is 25.  I captured a full disk image in Ha, CaK and 540nm and a close up of AR24449 and 51 in Ha and the beautiful almost circular filament in the South Eastern quadrant with a diameter of around 160,000 miles. A very impressive structure.

The clouds were gone!!! Seeing conditions were not very good at 6/10.  However good enough for the last images for CR2169,  three full disk images and some close ups.  AR2437 is turning to the backside of the Sun and AR2443 is coming in good view.  Flare activity has been medium with 1 M-class flare and 18 C-class flares in the previous 2 days.  7 Active regions today with 37 spots covering a total of 520 millionths. A very nice levitating prominence which is left from a very nice display earlier in the day at the Western limb.

Had some time, and clear skies for an imaging session. (Seeing 7/10) The Sun’s activity is down again and low. Total spot area went down from 510 to 470 millionths while the sport count went up by 1 to 34. Total flares in the last two days was limited to 1 C-class flare. Today, three full disk images and close ups of AR2439 with a nice prominence, and AR2435.

The sky was more unstable than yesterday resulting in lower seeing (6/10). Three full size disk images again today in the three wavelengths. Flare activity has picked up and is high with 4 M-class flares and 20 C-class flares in the last two days. Total Spot area today is 400 millionths double the one for yesterday and total spot count is 33.

Clear Skies with a relative stable atmosphere. So I brought the C11 out again for close ups. Today the Sun has 4 active regions AR2431, 32, 34 and 35 but spot activity is low with only 8 spots and the total spot area is 200 millionths. Flare activity is medium mainly because of the 1 M-Class flare. Total flares are 1 M and 16 C-class flares in the last two days.

Activity level is still Medium with 3 low level M-Class flares and 16 C-Class flares in the last two days, all but one happening in AR2434.  A new active region is coming around the corner AR2435.  Total Sun spot area on the Sun today is 100 millionths with a spot count of 19.  Today I have a full disk image in three wavelengths as well as a close up of AR2434.

The Sun’s activity today is medium with 10 C-class flares in the last two days.  Total Sunspot area has decreased from 120 to 110 millionths and the total sunspot count now stands at 16 in four active regions.  Today’s images are a Ha and CaK image made in the morning using my equipment, and a full disk image and close up of AR2434 made at a first light imaging session at Covington’s Perimeter College, with their new Coronado 90mm.  I like the results.
