A very clear day today but a bit windy.  The sun shows some nice activity today.  A nice flare at 1512 and some nice prominences.  The entire area around 1512 seems to be disturbed.  I am adding a close up of this region.

Today only one active region AR1511.  A few prominences around the solar disk, but not much solar activity.  So far today only one C2.7 flare.  So I took the PST-CaK and made an additional Ca image today.

The first images in a new rotation cycle.  AR1504 is still visible, but the others are on the backside or have been removed.  A large unstable area is visible at the eastern side of the solar disk.  In adition a few nice promiences and filaments.

Today most of the visible sunspots from yesterday turned to the backside of the sun.  Only 1504 and 1510 are still visible.  A nice filament is building up and a prominence is visible at the norther limb of the sun today.

A new active region today: AR1510.  Ar1504,05,06 and 07 are almost disappearing in the west.  Wondering what is in store for us.  Stereo Behind is showing some nice structures for us for the coming days.

The busy active regions area is moving close to the western limb and AR1509 has disappeared.  The large filament from earlier this week is broken up.  Other than a few B and C class flares not much activity today.

Another day with a beautiful view of AR1504-1509.  The filament extending from Ar1506 is very long and beautiful.  It should be time again for an M-class flare, but so far not yet.

The large prom at the WSW limb has disappeared and the active regions 1504 – 1509 have moved further to the western limb.  Still a very big area to produce B and C flares.  Glad to be checking the sun again on a daily basis.

Saturday we had clouds coming in and out with long clear areas.  An image today of the Sun with the AR1504,05,06,07,08,and 09.  Very nice with a pretty large prominence at the WSW limb.  The 1504,05 and 09 area seems to grow daily as well as the other areas around and crackle with B and C flares as well as a M class flare.

I’ve been catching up with other stuff around the house since our move and have had a little time to do some imaging.  Here a catch up of the last week with images from 6/7, 6/8 and yesterday 6/13.  On the 13th I also tried the etalon and blocking filter Frank Garner left with me to try.  So also included is a close up made with the Lunt etalon, B1200 filter and my SV80 scope.
