Clear skies with terrific seeing before the clouds came back !  The Sun is pretty much featureless today, except for a faint high latitude filament in the NE quadrant and a small prom on the NW limb. Spend a little more time today with the 430nm filter on the SVC80.

Another clear sky session with good seeing.  Today the proms were very faint, so did not even try to capture them.  AR2732 is still visible with 30 millionths but I believe this will be the last day.  The new eastern area is still there but no spots have developed.   Today have some full disk images as well as a few closeups, one with a new 430nm filter, which I really got for the C11 at some better seeing days.

Finally after 10 days the clouds and rain moved out, but the seeing was below average. This is the result of the Jetstream.  AR2732 is ready to turn to the far side, but it looks like a new area might show at the Eastern limb.  We also have a few small proms at the NW as well as the SW limbs. The close ups are far from great, but capturing these areas documents what’s happening.

Clear skies with average seeing this morning. I still could make out the plage in the Eastern hemisphere in CaK, but in Ha it was a challenge.  No spots today. A few small proms which are shown in the full disk Ha image.  For the rest the Sun is quiet.

Clear Skies and above average seeing today!  Solar Activity remains Very Low with no spots or flares to report. However a new region came around the Eastern limb, and so far I only can see the plages in Ha and CaK, and the faculae is visible in the close up 430nm filtered image.  In addition we still have a few filaments in the NW and SW, and the prom is still there at the SE limb.

Had a one hour window for my observing session between the Sun being above my neighbor’s trees and the rolling in clouds.  Seeing was a average.  No spots visible for spotless day 355 since Solar Max.  (Based on NOAA’s daily SRS reports)  The SW filament as well as the SE prom were still visible in Ha.

Yesterday we started a new rotation and the clouds started to move out this morning.  Seeing conditions were average.  The plage I observed during my previous observations is approaching the Western limb, and can be seen in Ha and WL.  I also believe to see the  in the 430nm filtered close up. In addition we saw a small filament near the SW limb in Ha and a very faint prom is the SE, which was too faint to image. Other than that the Sun remains quiet.

Clear skies with average seeing.  Solar Activity remains Very Low on this spotless day.  I did not see any proms or filaments either. However the plage is still very nice visible in Ha and CaK.  Weather forecast for tomorrow is cloudy and rain again! :-(

Since my last observing session, we had two active regions, AR2730 and AR2731.  Both were short lived, but because of rain and cloudy skies, I was not able to observe them. Today we have spotless day 349 since Solar Max.  We still can see the plage left of AR2731 in Ha and WL.  In addition we see two proms at the ENE limb.

Finally clear skies, but the seeing conditions were marginal.  A small area about 8 degrees N in the NE quadrant, which according to SDO imagery started forming yesterday afternoon, is still there but was not named by SWPC, so they called for a spotless day.  The area seems to decay.  The very bad seeing during the time of my capture of the WL version of this area made for a bad image, whereas the Ha and CaK images were better.  In addition we could observe two faint proms on the SE and SW limbs as well as a filament in the higher regions near  the NW limb.
