Had a tough time to find some openings between the clouds this morning. Solar activity is Medium :-) today with 13 C-class flares in the last two days.  Also the Active Regions have gained in size and the total Area is at 510 millionths with AR2565 accounting for 290, and AR2567 for 190.  Five Active Regions today with a total spot count of 23.  Because of the bad conditions, today only two full disk images and a close up of the AR2565, 66, 67 groups in WL and Ha.

Solar Activity is Low today with two C-class flares in the last two days.  We have four regions today with a total active region area of 250 millionths of which AR2565 accounts for 220.  AR2565 is changing from a Cao to a Dro on the McIntosh scale and started producing some additional spots between 0300 and 0600 UT.  Total spot count today is 14.  Today’s images are full disk images as well as close ups.  For some I used the DMK41 since the ASI174MM did act up a little, but later worked fine again. Both the NE as well as the NW limb showed a nice prominence.

Seeing 8/10 this morning.  Solar Activity is still Very Low with no C-class flares in the last two days.  The smaller active regions are decaying more and are smaller this morning.  AR2565 still looks great at 170 millionths out of a total of 240 millionths for the total area.  Spot count today is at 14.  Full disk images again today with close ups of all regions with lots of granulation in the 540nm WL images.

Skies cleared up for a brief period around 10:30, but the temp was getting hot already.  Solar Activity is still Very Low with no C-class flares since the 10th.  Four regions today with a total active region area of 300 millionths and 23 sunspots. I am having problems with my flats in the last few days.  Will need to bring out the DMK41 to see what it does.  Only Continuum filtered images today and a few Ha.  The clouds were moving way to slow to wait in the heat for the next break.  Sorry for that.

Clear Skies this morning with seeing of 8/10.  The Sun’s activity today is Very Low with no C-class flares in the last two days and in fact, only one B-class flare yesterday as well as today.  The four active regions today account for a total Active region area of 240 millionths and the spot count today is at 22.  Today full disk images in all 3 wavelengths as well as close ups of the areas as well as some nice prominences.  In addition the C11 came out again to capture an image of AR2565. However, I had some problems with the Flat to compensate for the newton rings in the Ha image.

Cloudy skies this morning but changing to broken cloud deck this afternoon.  Seeing 7/10.  Solar activity is Low today with one C-class flare in the last two days.  We do have 3 regions and as well as an additional not yet registered region.  Total Active Region area today is at 190 millionths and 16 sunspots.  The new spot that arrived over night looks great!  The forecast for tomorrow looks great, so we’ll see what that spot turns out to be.  In addition, the Sun showed some nice prominences both on the East and western Limb.

Low clouds were flying through the sky this morning making it a frustrating observation session. I was only able to do the full disk WL image and had to pack up again.  Well, the 12 day dry-spell is over and we officially have two (very small) Active Regions with a region area of 10 millionths each which can be seen in the full sized image.  Total spot count is 3.  No C-class flare in the last two days, so the Solar Activity stays at Very Low.

An early session this morning just in time before the clouds started filling the sky.  Solar activity is Very Low with no flare in the last two days.  The filaments have reached the Western limb and made for a nice hedgerow prominence.  The Eastern limb also showed a nice prom.  So we are getting used to reporting no Active Regions and Sunspots. :-) , but other features on the Sun.  Images today include full disk images as well as close ups of some areas and proms.
