I took the time for an imaging session on Friday.  Saturday we would be at Anna Ruby Falls for a solar outreach so there would be very little or no time to image.  Here an H-alpha and CaK image as well as a normal and the inverted version of a closeup of AR1195.

Saturday evening Dan, Frank and I went to CE to see if we could get the images that Frank wanted for his presentation at the next meeting.  However, we did not make it.  Sunday I had problems with the camera we used the night before, so I made an image of the sun with the DMK31 and a focal reducer.  I had trouble getting the settings right and after all did not post the image.  Today was a different story.  I had the time for a nice H-alpha, Calcium-K image as well as a closeup again of AR1195 and 96.  1193 is disappearing at the western limb and 1196 is deteriorating and 95 is not as strong anymore either and there seems to be a lot of activity developing on the NE limb.

Did not have much time, but wanted to see how 1191 and 93 were progressing.  AR 1193 is a beauty.

Captured a Halpha image of the sun today, but did not have more time.  AR1193 is quite active and 90 is approaching the western limb.

The bad storms that wrecked the southern/eastern part of the US have left.  Have a meeting today in Atlanta, so made a few images before I had to go.  Today an Ha and CaK image with a close up of a nice prominace at the western limb.

The sun on April 11.   Got to make these images before clouds started to interfere with imaging.  AR1185 and 86, with some nice prominances at the NW limb.

Today the sun showed some real nice prominaces on the NW limb.  As well as some nice defined regions in CaK.  I also spend time to capture a 1/2 hour of activity of these prominances.  Not much activity, but some nice little flares pop up.

The sun keeps developing more and more active regions and the fireworks coming from disturbances on the sun are abundant.  Here images from April 6th ad 7th with AR1183, 84, 85 and 86.

Yesterday I captured  10 minutes of activity of a bright prom at the SW limb of the sun.  The prom probably came from AR1176.  Since I thought the data was not good, I stopped after 10 minutes.  Today I took another look at the data and realized that it was much better than what I thought it was.  So here the animation of 10 minutes of solar activity. Click the image to link to the animation.
