Another day with clear skies and the seeing is good.  Solar Activity remains Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  AR2689 remains at a size of 60 millionths and 5 spots. The huge filament is getting ready to turn to the far side of the Sun.  A few more filaments remain and some small proms at the Western limb.

Another clear day, with seeing going from good to bad scintillation. Solar Activity is Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  AR2689 has increased to 60 millionths and contains 5 sun spots. Did not see any prominences at the time of observing but the filaments were abundant.

I went back in my images and created a composite of the huge prominence from over a month ago.  The composite shows the prom on three consecutive days when it became visible and grew in size as it turned from the far-side of the sun to the Eastern limb.  The images were captured on October 18th, 19, and 20th.

Clear skies with good seeing conditions.  Solar Activity is Very Low with no > C-class flares in the last two days.  The plage from two days ago evolved in anew active region AR2689 and produced a small B1.6 flare on the 25th.  Total Active Region Area for today is 20 millionths and the spot count is at 3.  The filaments however show very nice on the hemisphere and today I I captured 5 close ups of them.

Clear skies with average seeing.  Solar activity is Very Low with no flares in the last two days. We have a very nice close up of a prominence at the SE limb and a few filaments across the hemisphere. The Eastern prom shown in the close up on the 17th is now visible as a massive filament in the center of the hemisphere.

Solar Activity remains Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  AR2687 remains at 90 millionths but the spot number increased by 1 to 5. A few pores have opened and might develop in a spot.  In addition, a very nice and interesting filaprom is visible at the eastern limb.

Unstable conditions with poor seeing.  Solar activity remains Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  AR2687 has increased to 90 millionths but still only contains 4 spots. Interesting prominence and filament in the eastern hemisphere.

Variable seeing during the imaging session.  Solar Activity remains Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  We have a new active region AR2687. Total Active Region Area for the day is 50 millionth and the spot count is 4. In addition, we have some nice prominences at the Eastern limb as well as a nice filaprom.

Fast moving clouds with bad seeing.  I only could capture 1 visible light image before it was completely covered.  Solar Activity is Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  Today is Spotless Day 115.

Clear skies with poor seeing conditions.  Solar Activity remains Very Low with no flares in the last two days. It’s been a few days since we’ve seen Active Regions and Sunspots.  Today makes for Spotless Day 112. A nice filament shows in the Northern hemisphere and a few prominences around the solar disk.  I spend about 40 minutes imaging the prom at the NE-limb.  Will see at the next cloudy day if the seeing was ok for an animation.
