Finally the clouds are gone for the most part and I could image again.  Another spotless Sun today for spotless day 813 since Solar Max.  A nice plage shows in the NE quadrant in Ha and CaK as some nice prominences appear also at the NE limb for another quiet day on the Sun.

I did not expect it, but we had clear skies.  We seem to have a new region, which has not been named yet.  Its in the NW quadrant and I’ve been following the plage in my close ups since August 11th.  Late yesterday it produced a B-class flare, and today already a number of A-class flares, of which the largest so far was an A3 flare.  The two areas in the Southern hemisphere can still be seen nicely in Ha and CaK.  It also looks like another new region is arriving at the SE limb.  I can see two spots in the CaK closeup. So we’ll see what tomorrow brings.

A short time with clear skies today.  The Sun remains spotless for another day.  The pores visible yesterday in the Continuum image have decayed and are gone.  But the region as well as the two in the Southern hemisphere are still visible in Ha and CaK.  A little prominence activity was observed at the SE limb.  For the rest the Sun seems quiet.

The clouds have finally disappeared for my sessions.  Today we see a spotless Sun again.  But as I always say, there is something interesting  happening.  We see some very nice C25 polarized plages in Ha and CaK and in one of them, near the center of the Sun,  we see two small pores in the continuum image.  The one in the South shows a very nice filament stretching from one side to the other in Ha.  The old AR2771 shows now as a plage.  Today full disk images as well as close ups in the three wavelengths.

Well, AR2770 is decaying even further and hardly visible in Continuum today.  Currently it measures only 10 millionths.  AR2770 did however produce a B2 flare yesterday.  In addition, some activity seems to show near the SE limb.  A few plages can be seen to be developing there. Full disk images today as well as close ups of the mentioned areas.

AR2770 has decayed to 20 millionths with 2 spots.  Yesterday, the day after the light bridge crossed the spot, the penumbra disappeared, and today it decayed even further.  So the question is if it will disappear before it turns to the backside of the Sun.  To make up for this, we see three proms.  One in the NW, one in the NE and SE.  For the rest the Sun is very quiet!

Clear skies with good seeing today.  AR2770 had decayed to 50 millionths and it supports one spot. AR2770 had decayed to 50 millionths while its one spot now shows a light bridge. The plage from the old AR2768 is approaching the western limb, so the time where we could observe the three cycle 25 polarized areas will soon end.  The nice prominence at the SW limb is still visible, but it is turning slowly to the far side of the Sun.  Today full disk images as well as close ups of the mentioned regions.

Clear Skies for this session this morning.  AR2770 seems to be stable, but we still see the old plages from AR2768 and AR2769.  In addition there is a little activity South of AR2770, just a little North of the equator which can be seen in Ha and CaK.  A nice prominence on the SW limb completes todays observing session.

I had to capture my images today between the clouds.  As I mentioned a few days ago, a new milestone was coming up for me.  Well today is the day where I am submitting my 6000 th. image to the ALPO Solar archive since 2015, at which time I started to build, and rebuild the image archives for ALPO, covering many years.  This does not include all the previous submitted images of the Sun, Moon and planets which I have been submitting since 2008 or 2009.
Today’s Sun is very nice.  AR2770 being a Csx spot, now covers 160 millionths and has three spots.  The plages of the regions AR2768 and AR2769 are still very nice visible in Ha and CaK in the Northern hemisphere.  A lot of Cycle 25 polarized activity today!  In addition we have some nice filaments North of these areas and in the Southern hemisphere.  Today, full disk images and close ups in the three wavelengths of the mentioned regions.

Clear skies today with good seeing.  We see three Cycle 25 polarized regions on the solar disk today.  AR2770 and the plages from AR2768, and AR2769.  A few nice filaments were observed in Ha over the last few days.  Today full disk image as well as close ups of the mentioned areas.
