As good as the seeing was on the 16th, as bad it was the 18th.  The Jetstream combined with wind gusts did not cooperate, and seeing varied around 3 to 4/10.  Despite these conditions I made a series of images.  Solar activity Medium with 6 C-class flares in the last two days.  AR2470 again at 610 millionths of a total of 650.  23 Sunspots total in three regions only.

The Sun 2015-12-16.  Nice stable skies today, in fact seeing was so good 8/10 that it was time again to bring the C11 out for some close ups of AR2470.  Today’s solar activity is low with two c-class flares in the last two days,  AR2470 has grown to 610 millionths but the total area is just 660 millionths.  Four active regions with 24 spots of which 16 are in AR2470.  Full disk images today and some nice close ups.

Clear Skies until I started with the Ha images.  Transparency went down from 8/10 to 4/10 for the Ha session.  Flare activity is medium with 20 flares in the last two days, while the active regions have increased over 24 hours from 170 to 290 millionths.  The total spot count today went up 2 spots to 19.  Today full disk images in the three wavelengths, as well as close ups in 540nm and Ha using different focal lengths.

Clear Skies with a lot better seeing conditions.  7/10.  Four active regions total today and they are all on the Western half of the Sun,  AR2462, 63, 64 and 65.  Total flare activity is low with 6 C-class flares in the last two days.  Spot area total is 130 millionths and the total spot count is only 10 for today.  Stability was good today so I took the DMK41AU02.AS, which was running a low frame rate, for the Ha close up since I am getting a lot of Newtonian rings on the ASI174MM with the Sun this low, and a barlow of 3x. All other images with the ASI174MM.

Broken skies today with better seeing conditions between the clouds than yesterday (6/10)  The Sun still shows the three Active Regions, with AR2463 having decayed a little  from 130 to 110 millionths. Total area today at 130 millionths and total spots at 8.  Flare activity low with 5 C-class flares in the last two days.  Today three full disk images and close ups of 2463 and 2464 in 540nm and the three regions in Ha.

High Cumulus clouds and con-trails made for difficult imaging this morning.  Seeing at times 4/10.  The Sun’s activity is low today with 3 C-class flares in the last two days and 3 Active Regions, 2462, 63  and 64,  Total spot area today is at 170 millionths and spot count at 11.  Seeing only allowed full disk images and I had to resort to Registax5 for stacking the  Ha runs.

Clear Skies today with seeing of 4/10 this morning.  Did not have much time but sufficient for three full disk images and two regions.  The Sun shows two Active Regions AR2462 and 63 covering a total spot area of 120 millionths while supporting only 5 sunspots. Both are  at the western half of the Sun.  Flare activity is medium with 5 C-class flares in the last two days.
