Mixed clouds today so conditions were not that great (Seeing 6/10)  Today 2 Sunspots AR2389, and 90 with a total spot area of 130 millionths.  Flare activity is low with one C-Class flare reported in the last two days.  Today an H-a full disk image, as well as a white light/Continuum filtered image, and a close up of AR2390 in WL/Continuum.

This morning a chain of clouds.  It took me a while to find two holes big enough for a White light and H-alpha full disk image.  The Sun is real quiet today and it looks like it has no sunspots.  But not quite yet.  AR2386 and 88 are still there even though they are almost pores at 20 millionths each.  Total Sunspot area is 40 millionths, 7 Sunspots and flare activity is medium with 6 C-Class flares in the last two days.

A quiet Sun again today.  Two regions, AR2386, and 87, with 19 Sunspots total, covering 160 millionths.  No C-class or better flares in the last two days, only a few B-Class flares.  The seeing was not that good this morning either, I captured only two full disk images, one H-alpha and a white light continuum filtered.

The Sun through thin clouds this morning, but the seeing was still OK 5/10 to capture some images.  Today full disk images in WL/Continuum and H-alpha as well as close ups of some of the regions as marked on the images.  The Sun shows 4 Active Regions today with a total sunspot count of 12 spots covering 310 millionths.  Flare activity is low today with one C-class flare in the last two days.

Clear now, but clouds soon.  Today’s Sun shows three active regions, AR2384, 86 and 87 with a total of 10 sunspots covering 190 millionth, and this is again a day with very low flare activity and again, no flares in the last two days.  Today a H-alpha full disk image as well as a full disk image in white light film/continuum.

A few degrees cooler today, but the seeing is still as it was last night: Not good. 5/10  Only full disk images today in H-alpha and White-light/Continuum.  The Sun is quieting down with 3 Active Regions, 2381 , 84,and 86 and 6 Sunspots today, covering a total of 280 millionths.  Flare activity is also very low with no flares in the last two days.  The large filament has degraded a bit, but still shows nicely circling across.

Today is New Horizon’s Pluto Fly-by :-)   The Sun is a lot calmer today with 14 Sunspots and a total sunspot area of 590 millionths.  As yesterday, only one C-class flare indicates low activity.  The seeing this morning was not good 4/10, so I cut my imaging session short with one full disk image with the SolarMax 40.  This finishes the images for Carington Rotation 2165.  Later today 2166 does start! :-)

Scattered thin clouds today, so I had to image with variable seeing.  The Sun’s 6 active regions have increased the total sunspot area on the Sun by 20 to 730 millionths, even though the sunspots count only shows 33 spots. Flare activity is very low with only 1 C-class flare in the last two days.  So things are kind of stable at this time.  Today full disk images again in H-a and WL/Continuum and close ups of AR2381 and 84 in both wavelengths.

A clear sky this morning with stable 7-8/10 seeing.  The sun shows 8 active regions with a total of 44 Sunspots, covering 710 millionths.  Flare activity has been real low with one C-class flare.  The heart shaped leading sunspot in AR2381 from two days ago has changed a lot since then.  Today a full disk image of the Sun, as well as a close up of AR2381  in Ha and WL/Continuum.

Today started off with great seeing 8/10.   AR2381 continues to grow at a modest rate.  Today it’s sunspots cover an area of 540 out of a total of 840 millionths.  Total Sunspots are 51 and flare activity is low with three C-class flares in the last two days.  Today a close up of AR2381 and 84 in H-a with the 2x barlow, since the three times barlow produces heavy Newton rings. (Need for the tilt adjuster) The same spots also in WL/Continuum and finally two full size images with the same filters.
