Some nice flares have popped up during the last 24 hours both B and C class flares.  The 2 large prominences at the NE limb are still there and the area of 1417,19 and 20 is very active.  Several smaller prominences are also seen at the Western limb and some nice filaments now also extend in the southern hemisphere.  I also imaged a close up of AR1417 and 19 with the prominences nearby.

Beautiful skies again today, but the temperatures had dropped to 23 F  degrees.  Cold….  I noticed a high but very faint prom on the NE limb when I started my session, but at the time I finished imaging my full disk image, the remnant was almost completely gone. You can see the very faint remnant in the last image. However, some nice flares and prominences can still be seen.  Today also a closeup of AR1416 as well as 1417 with the proms at the NE limb.

Broken clouds this morning during my imaging session with very strong winds.  Had just enough time to image a full disk image of the Sun between the cloud fields.  Very nice long filaments  and AR1416 and 17 have been crackling with C1,2 and 1.4 flares over the last 12 hours.  However, very limited prominence activity at the time of imaging.

Cloudy skies today.  Conditions were very bad to image.   After the full sun image there was no time for closeups left.  The large prominence from yesterday at the eastern limb has turned to the front of the sun and has become a filament.  The large prom at the western limb has turned further to the back side and can hardly be seen today and AR1415 is following it close.

Clear Skies with nice conditions but a bit windy.  AR1413 still seems to be active based on the nice prominence shown at the western limb.  AR1414 is showing some activity now and AR1410 still shows some flares.  Today a closeup of  both the eastern and western limbs with some nice proms.

A new Carington Rotation started on the 6th, so here my first image in the new rotation.  Active regions 1410 and 13 are turning to the backside of the planet and are still crackling with C and M class flares.  Will it become quiet for a few days, or is the prominence at the eastern limb an indication for some new activity?  We’ll find out!

Today was not a good day for imaging.  A thin layer of clouds covered the entire sky and casted a high contrast moving image on the chip, making it hard to focus and get good data.  Several of the data sets I took resulted in bad images.  Only one half good one.  Prominence activity is still very low and the active regions 1410,11 and 13 are moving steadily further west.

Clearing skies, with high winds.  However, seeing was still pretty good.  Today only a full disk image of the sun.  The bigger active regions are moving to the west side of the disk and almost no prominence activity to see today.

Cloudy day, but caught a brief preriod of thin, high altitude clouds only, sufficient for my normal imaging session.  Still lots of sunspots.  Not much activity or chances for large flares or proms.  Stabilty and seeing was very good today, so the closeup of AR1410/13 is very nice.

Mostly cloudy skies today with a few small breaks in between them.  It was not enough to capture the prominences today, but I managed to capture 700 frames (stop and go), sufficient to produce this image.  There are more sunspots now, but the activity is still relative low at the earth side of the sun.
