Good seeing today. We have a new Active Region. AR2817 in the NW quadrant was named this morning. AR2814 and AR2815 are still visible as plages. I was so excited about the new region, that I forgot to image AR2816 in 540nm, but instead imaged the faculae of AR2814 and 15. Full disk images today with close ups of the mentioned regions.

Clear skies, but I had some real imaging problems. I believe I did accidentally delete Firecapture v.2,4 and 2.6 does not work well on my PC. However I got some 540nm and Ha images. AR2814 did decay today to a plage and AR2815 had decayed yesterday to a plage. So the only strong hold today is AR2816. Full disk images today as well as close ups of the mentioned regions but today only in 540nm and Ha.

Clear skies this morning and the beginning of a new Carrington Rotation CR2243. The leading spot of AR2814 has decayed somewhat, but the following spots have increased in size and numbers. An interesting Region. Full disk images and close ups of AR2814.

Clear skies again this morning! AR2814 has increased a little and showed some B-Class flares yesterday and is a Cao/beta spot. We have an interesting Sun again! Full disk images and close ups of AR2814.

Clear skies this morning with good seeing and we have some new spots, even if they are small! This morning the new region in the SE quadrant has been named AR2814 according to the midday forecast discussion of SWPC. I did not see the naming until after I had processed the images from my morning session. So my images still refer to a new region as did yesterday’s. The region is classified as an Bxo, but is inactive. The large prom from yesterday is gone. So today full disk images and closeups of the mentioned region.

Scattered clouds with poor seeing this morning. NOAA’s SWPC did report another spotless day in their GEOAlert last night, which counted in my database as the 902nd spotless day since Solar Max. According to SWPC, the region in the SE quadrant has shown over the last few days a number of pores, which decayed very fast. Today I could make out two of them in my 540nm close up. In addition there are numerous prominences all around the Sun. Today full disk images and close ups of the mentioned areas.

Clear skies, but a number of contrails. Although the plage is very close to the Western limb, I could not make out any spots in AR2813. SWPC however did still report at midnight AR2813 showing one spot, but covering a very small area (0). So today only full disk images and we will be focusing on new areas that might pop up.

Clear skies again with very good seeing. AR2813 has further decayed and I was only able to see it (as a pore?) in the close ups in WL and CaK. In Ha it was only visible as a plage. So while it is rotating towards the Western limb it has decayed and probably will disappear. Today full disk images as well as close ups of AR2813.

Clear skies with good seeing again today. AR2813’s trailing spot has decayed, but the leading spot is still nicely visible. The close up in Ha shows today also some small faint proms near the area at the Western limb.
