Clear skies for a change.  The Sun is spotless today, but at the location of AR2766, a small pore could be detected in the WL images a well as in the CaK close up.  However, visually I could not see it.  In Ha and CaK the plage was very visible.  Today full disk images as well as close ups of the mentioned region.

Clear skies with great seeing today!  The area containing the small pore we saw yesterday has now been named AR2766, and is located just above the equator.  It measures 10 millionths and was recorded with 2 spots.  Today full disk images in the three wavelengths and close ups of AR2766 and two additional plages in the Southern hemisphere in CaK.

Some clear skies, and thin clouds.  The Sun remains spotless.  Yesterday I mentioned that I did not see the proms, but today they showed very nicely in the SE and I wonder if I overlooked them.  Today full size images, and closeups of the C25 polarized area as well as the prom

Clear skies today but only a Spotless Sun.  The nice prominences from yesterday are gone.  The pore in the SE quadrant is even smaller than yesterday.  The only thing left are the filaments in the NE.  Full disk images and close ups of the mentioned regions.

Clear skies this morning with average seeing. The small area in the SE continues to show some pores, but no spot has been registered, so the area stays un-named.  However, other areas on the Sun make up for it.  Some real nice filaments are visible in the NE, and a huge prom shows in the NW with a smaller, but brighter one in the SE. Overall activity remains low.  Today full disk images and close ups of the mentioned areas.

The Sahara dust clouds have passed and I could see blue skies between the clouds today.  Today’s session showed a spotless Sun.  A few small filaments could be observed in the Ha image in the South as well as the NE. For the rest it is pretty quiet.

The observing session this morning was a challenge.  I had to image through two cloud decks, moving in different directions with bad seeing conditions.  The Sun is spotless again and the only feature I made out was a filament or sections of a filament which stretched from the center NW to the W limb.  The pieces are hard to see.  In addition, because of the interruptions between imaging, I used the wrong optical configuration for the Ha image, which had to be enlarged over 50% during processing.  So I apologize for the low quality caused by many factors.

A break in the clouds, but still below average seeing conditions.  The Sun remains spotless today with a filament in the Norther hemisphere and a prom in the NE.

Clear skies, but the seeing was below average.  Another spotless Sun today.  However, the prominences from yesterday can still be seen.  However I could not make out anymore the plage in the NE as a faculae in WL, but a new plage, visible in CaK, seems to turn to the visible side a few degrees more North.  A very quiet Sun today.

Clear skies again but no spots to see today.  This makes for spotless day 774 since Solar Maximum.  The NE plage and faculae are still visible and we see some nice proms in the NE and SW.
