A very calm day, ready for a few closeups with the C11.  With 5 active regions, the sun did not pick up activity and the large filament streching over 200,000 miles is still there.  I made closeups of 1755 and 1756.  Very nice stuctured and nice granulation, but not large compared to some of the spots in the last weeks.  Anyway an interesting sun today.

After missing several days with imaging, today a few images before the clouds came in.  The Sun is not as active as last week.  In fact in the last two days we had only two M-class flares in 1753.  1748 Has been producing a number of C class flares but nothing like last week.  Today a full Sun image with 7 active regions: 1744, 45, 46, 48, 50, 53 and 54 as well as closeups of 1753 and 54.

Today the first day of CR2137.  The Sun has been getting very active again.  Yesterday with 9 active regions, today 8.  I had the time for closeups of 1745,  46, 47 and 48.  1748 looks so innocent, but it is producing a number of M and X class flares.

Yesterday I intended to make a few images during an outreach program.  Brought my table but forgot the DMK :-( and missed the huge prominence.  Today brought it and was able to sneak in the time to make one image.  1748 is the region that produces the M class and X class flares. (Left at the rim) Note that the orientation of the Sun today is different thasn my normal orientation (Did not correct for the Alt/Az at the outreach program).

Finally a sunny day and no outreach.  Today the sun was very busy with 10 active regions and some of them showed some nice activity.  AR1744 and 45 are turning nice in view and might develop into something special in the next few days.  Today also a close up of AR1744 and 45 made using the C11 and my 3.8 Baader filter with an additional green filter.
