I had good hopes that the seeing would be great, but was disappointed with 6/10.  Today AR2404 has disappeared pretty much, but AR2403 has increased to 1190millionths  and contains 4o spots.  Flare activity is medium with 14 C-class flares in the last two days.  Today again a mixture of Ha and 540nm filtered images.

Seeing not as good as yesterday 6.5/10.  Captured a full disk image and a close up of AR2403 both in Ha with the SM40, and 540nm with the SVC80.  The Sun’s activity is medium today following 2 M-class and 15 C-class flares yesterday.  AR2403 has increased again and is now 930 millionths which accounts for almost all Sun Spot areas today.  Spot count for today is 51 down from 73 yesterday.

Finally, the clouds are mostly gone, but the temp at after one was 99.9 degrees when I took the measurement for my analemma project.  The sun’s total sunspot area increased 370 millionths from 420 yesterday to 790 today of which AR2403 covers already 760 by itself.  Activity is high and AR2403 at this time has already produced two M-Class flares today.  Sunpots have increased from 52 to 73.  The seeing was very good today 8/10, so I spend some time capturing WLC filtered images on the SVC as well as the C11.  The sky was calm enough to let me capture a close up again with very nice detail, this time of the “following” sunspot in AR2403.

Thin high broken clouds today.  I did only capture full disk images, since I was running short of time.  The Sun today is quiet with AR2396 having turned to the far side of the Sun and AR23400 and 2401 are real small.  Total Spot area today is 160 millionths with 16 spots, although 4 C-class took care of some activity.

Clear and calm skies this morning. AR2396 has passed its maximum size and covers 710 millionths while the other regions account for 60. Total Sunspot count for today is 37 and flare activity is low with only one C-Class fare in the past two days. Today a full disk image as well as a close up of AR2396 in the three wavelengths I have equipment for.
