Clear and stable Skies today 8/10.  The filament in the SE quadrant has rotated further west today and is still a beautiful and massive structure.  Some smaller filaments are extending from AR2415 and 18.  AR2415 has grown a bit while AR2418  is the same size as yesterday.  Flare activity is medium with three M-class flares and 6 C-class flares in the last two days.  Total spot area today is 520 millionths and the spot count is 31. In addition to the full disk images today close ups in H-a as well as 540nm.

Clear Skies this morning with good seeing conditions 8/10.  The Solar activity is low today with 5 flares in the last two days.  Three active regions with a total spot area of 490 millionths.  Total sunspots today is at 32.  AR2418 is still growing a little but does not show a lot of activity.  The huge hedgerow prominence from a few days ago at the Eastern limb now shows up on the surface in H-a as a beautiful filament, and one can still see how massive that plasma structure is.

The Sun’s activity is picking up a bit to medium.  1M-class and 15 C-class flares in the last two days, 13 of them in AR2415.  Total sunspot area today is 680 millionths with a total of 27 spots, 20 of them in AR2415.  So let’s see how 2015 will continue, although 2418 is growing faster.  In addition a very nice prominence is visible at the eastern limb which I measured as about 40,000 miles high.  Today the solar disk in the three wavelength as well as a close up of 2425 and 18.

Clear Skies again with similar seeing conditions as yesterday.  The Sun’s activity is still low but AR2415 has started to produce C-class flares.  A total of 6 in the last two days.  AR2414 and 15 are a bit smaller today, but 2418 has increased to 200 millionth of a total spot area of 520.  Spot count today is 22.  Today’s images are full disk images in the three wavelengths.

Another clear day, but the seeing conditions could be better (6/10).  The Sun has low activity again today with no flares in the past two days.  AR2414 has grown to 190 of a total sun spot area today of 500 millionths with a total sunspot count  of 25 spots. Today full disk images again with a close up of 2412 and 2414. The Ha image shows some nice proms at the SW and Eastern limbs.

Solar activity is very low with no flares in the last two days.  Active Regions have picked up in numbers and so have the sunspot areas.  Today 6 regions with a total spot count of 27 sunspots.  Spot area covers 350 millionths.    Today a full disk image in all three wavelengths as well some close ups in 540nm of AR2412, 14 and 15 in 540nm.

The sky is clearing up enough for a few full disk images.  Seeing still around 6/10.  The Sun’s activity is still very low with no flares in the last two days.  3 Active regions today with 9 sunspots covering 60 millionths.  Very quiet!

The Sun on 2015-09-04.  Relative stable sky today with seeing 7/10.  The Sun is quiet today again with two active regions AR2409 and AR2410, 7 Sun spots covering a mere 40 millionths.  Flare activity has also been very quiet with no flares in the last two days.  The most noticeable features today are the few filaments stretching out in the SE quadrant of the Sun and a few faint prominences. Today again three full disk images in the three different wavelengths.

A Quiet Sun again.  Three active regions with a total spot area of 90 millionths , 19 Spots and no flares in the last two days.  So today again only full disk images in the three wavelengths with 6/10 seeing conditions through wide bands of contrails and thin clouds..

Finally the Sun out again for my Solar imaging session.  The Sun is very quiet today with no flares in the past two days. 4 Regions are reported with two of them showing a size of 0. The total sunspot area for today is 40 millionths with a total spot count of 10.  Today, I am showing a full disk image for Ha, CaK and 540nm and look for the two active regions with a size of 20 each.
