The Sun 2015-11-29. CR2171 started at November 28, 4:07 UT.  It was cloudy today and I had to wait for a hole big enough to grab some images.  It then clouded over again and I waited over 1 hour for the final Ha close up of the prom. Seeing conditions around 3/10.  The Sun’s activity is very low with no flares in the last two days.  Only three active regions today with a total sunspot area of 110 millionths and a total spot count of 6.  Full disk images today with one low quality Ha closeup of the Prom at the SW limb.

Thanksgiving 2015-11-26, with clear skies, but bad seeing conditions. 3/5.  Was only able to make full disk images in the three wavelengths.  Today’s active regions are 2457, 2458, 2459 and 2460. All are 100 millionths or under, with the total area at 200, down from 260 yesterday.  No C-class flares in the last two days and a sunspot total of 18 accounts for the very low solar activity for today.

The Sun 2015-11-24.  Transparency was great, but the wind sheer in the jet stream made the seeing very bad this morning. 4/10.  Solar activity has dropped and is low with only 4 C-class flares in the last two days,  two of which came from AR2454.  4 Active Regions are reported today with a total area of 400  millionths and 37 spots.    Because of the bad seeing, today no close ups.

Clear Skies, but the jet stream made it pretty unstable 4/10.  Medium Solar activity today with 14 C-class flares in the last two days.  4 Active Regions, AR2454, 56, 57, 58 contain the 36 spots, and the total spot area is today at 330 millionths. A few filaments decorate the surface, but prom activity is minimal.  Three full disk images and only low quality WL  540nm close ups of the regions because of the bad seeing conditions.

Clear Skies again but seeing is not getting much better 5/10.  Today 3 active regions AR2454,56,and 57.  Solar activity has picked up and now is medium with 13 C-class flares in the last two days with almost all flares coming from 2454.  Total Sunspot area is 250 millionths and total spot count of 29.  Today full disk images in three wavelengths showing some nice filaments and proms in Ha, as well as close ups in Ha and 540nm showing the active regions.

The clouds were on their way, but I could just complete a session between the Sun rising above the trees and the arrival of the clouds.  Seeing was not good 4/10 and the Sun at an altitude of 25 degrees, but I got full disk images in the three wavelengths as well as a close up of the regions in 540nm filtered light.  3 C-class flares in the last two days from 2 regions.  Today 3 active regions totaling 150 millionths and 22 Sun spots, a few nice filaments, and some nice proms at the western limb.

A clear sky again, but seeing is about average with the low altitude of the Sun 5/10.  No flares in the last two days and the 21 sunspots in three active regions cover only 80 millionths.  Today a full disk image again in the three wavelengths and close ups of AR2454/56 and AR2457.

Saturday morning some high cumulus clouds but still very good seeing.  The Sun shows four very small active regions with a total sunspot area of 50 millionths and 10 spots.  Flare activity still low with two C-class flares in the last two days.  Today the three full disk images and still another close up of the large horseshoe shaped filament.

Friday 11/13, the skies were clear and the seeing was at 8/10.  The sun is quiet with only two C-class flares and two active regions.  Total active region area shows only 9 sunspots covering only 40 millionths in 2448 and 2449.  This is real low.  However the large filament is still there but the Western side has very much decayed, and is almost completely gone, resulting in a very nice horseshoe shaped filament, still very much worth to observe.
