For you who don’t know, we can peek around the Sun and see what’s happening there. NASA’s Stereo satellites (Satellite A(head) and B(ehind) were giving us a full accounting of what was happening on the full Sun until Stereo B failed at the other side of its orbit around the Sun. However, Stereo A is still sending us its observations. In the image below you can see that the coming week should be of interest to us, as several ARs will turn into our view. (Left side of the image -180 to -90) Image provided by NASA’s Stereo project.

Clouds were streaking though the sky during my observing session today.  Transparency as well as Seeing today 3/10 .  Solar activity is Low with two C-class flares in the last two days.  AR2552 is increasing at 140 millionths.  However, a new region has turned into our view which was not there yet at UT 0.  This is a nice sized region, is not named yet, and is the beginning of a series of regions that will turn into our view in the next week.  I will be making a separate post of that later today. Three full disk images today and a close up of both of the regions in the different wavelengths.
