The clouds burned off and gave way to clear skies with average seeing.  Solar Activity is still very low with no C-class flares in the last two days.  The only remaining Active Region AR2592  seems to stay steady at 10 millionths as a Bxo type region and today with 3 sunspots.  Full Disk images today with close ups of both the Eastern Limb with AR2592, as well as the Western Limb.

Clear Skies with average seeing.  Solar activity is still Very Low with no C-class flares in the last two days.  One Active Region left with a size of only 10 millionths and 2 sunspots.  The area where AR2591 used to be still shows  bright in Ha and CaK but it does not meet the criteria anymore for an Active Region.  Today images in all wavelengths and close ups of AR2592 and the Western Limb where AR2591 used to be. The size of the full disk Sun starts to exceed the size of the chip of the ASI174 and for todays WL image, a little sliver of the Sun was cut off.  My apologies for that.  Might have to  use the focal reducer again for this image for a while.

Clear and stable skies this morning with seeing better than average.  Solar Activity is still Very Low with no C-class flares in the last two days.  A new region has come around the Eastern Limb from the far side, which so far has produced two small B-class flares.  So it looks like we will continue observing some interesting active region(s) in the days ahead.  Total active region area has dwindled to 30 millionths for AR2589 and AR2591.  Total spot count for today is at 4.  Full disk images today with close ups of the Eastern and Western limbs showing the mentioned regions.

Clear skies until the clouds started to interfere with the observing.  Solar Activity today is still Very Low with only one B-class flare today.  Active Region AR2585 is for the most part at the far side of the Sun, so today we have a total of 4 regions with a total active region area of 290 millionths and a total spot count of 17.  Full disk images today with close ups of the regions in three wavelengths.

Today I had only time for a short session, but that got cut even shorter because of clouds moving in.  Today’s Solar Activity is still at Very Low.  In fact, during the last two days the Sun has not even produced any B-Class flares, let alone C-class flares.  We still have the four regions AR2585, 88,89 and 91 covering a total area of 340 millionths and a total count of 23 sunspots.  AR 2585 can still just be seen before the Sun rotates it to the far side.  Today only white light images in below average seeing.

In addition to observing the 15th anniversary of 9/11, there still was some time to observe the Sun.  Today Solar Activity is still very low.  No C-class flares in the last two days.  The four regions, AR2585, 88, 89 and 91 cover a total Active Region Area for the hemisphere of 450 millionths with a total of 26 sunspots.  In addition, the nice filament that made the Sun great to observe the last 10 days or so, is now spanning the Western limb, showing some nice Proms which even show two detached proms!

Clear Skies with good seeing.  Solar Activity remains at Very Low because of no C-class flares in the last two days.  We have four active regions today AR2585, 88, 89 and 90, with a total active region area of 430 millionths with a total  spot count of 25.  Today full disk images as well as close ups of the regions.

Clear Skies today, but seeing conditions were terrible during the observing session.  Solar Activity is still Very Low with no C-class flares in the last two days.  We have three regions, AR2585, 2588 and the new AR2589.  Total active region area for the hemisphere is 400 millionths mainly because AR2585 is getting much smaller moving to the Western limb.  Total sunspots today is at 19.  Images in three wavelengths today.

The Sun 2016-09-08.  Observing conditions were average for this session.  Solar Activity was Very Low with no C-class flares in the previous two days.  We have three regions AR2585 and 88, and AR2586 showing some activity before it disappeared around the Western limb.  Total active region area today is 470 millionths and we have a total of 20 sunspots.

The Sun 2016-09-07.  I am late posting this observation, but better late than never.  Observing conditions were average.  Solar Activity was also Very Low with no C-class flares in the previous two days.  Two regions AR2585 and AR2588 with a total region area of 410 millionths and the total spot count was 12.
