Had to observe and image between the clouds for my first session in the new rotation.  Seeing was average.  Solar Activity for today is Very Low with no C-class flares in the last two days.  Two regions today with total active region area of 80 millionths and a total spot count of 10.  The nice filament of the last few days is starting to decay.  One of the sides has disappeared.  Full disk images today with close ups in the three wavelengths of the regions and the plage in the Southern hemisphere.

Seeing a little better than average this morning.  Solar Activity is Very Low again with no C-class flares in the last two days.  AR2600 is turning to the far side and a pore is visible in the N-Eastern quadrant.  Total active region area for today is a little more than yesterday at 120 millionths.  Today’s spot count is 4.  Full disk images and close ups of AR2602 as well as the filament, and the pore in the NE. Also a CaK image of a plage which I have been following in the SE quadrant

Clear skies with average seeing.  Solar activity remains low with 2 C-class flares in the last two days.  Total Active Region Area for the hemisphere is going down today from 130 to 80 millionths.  AR2600 is getting close to the Western limb and remains an Hsx region on the McIntosh scale.  Total spot number goes down to 3.   The nice arched filament in the NE quadrant is approaching the meridian and still looks great.  Today full disk images and close ups of the mentioned regions.

Clear skies on the first day of early voting in Georgia, but seeing was not good.  Solar Activity is Low with 2 C-class flares in the last two days.  The area of AR2600 and 2602 remain the same at 90, resp. 40 millionths for a total area for the hemisphere of 130 millionths.  The same with the sunspots with a total of 4.  Today full disk images as well as close ups of the various areas.

Nice clear skies before the clouds came back.  Seeing below average.  Solar Activity is again Very Low after the last flare on the 14th.  Three regions today.  The remnants of AR2599 which went around the western limb, still account for 60 millionths in today’s total active region area of 190 millionths.  Total spot count today is 5.   Full disk images today as well as close ups of the two regions and the SE limb.

Cirrus clouds and contrails from horizon to horizon.  So today my observations were only based on WL.  Solar activity is Low today with two C-class flares in the last two days.  We have three regions, AR2599, AR2600 and AR2602 with a total active region area of 270 millionths and a total spot count of 11.  While the first two are decreasing in size, the last one increased to 40 millionths.  Because of the conditions, today only White light images captured through a thin cloud deck.

Clear skies, but had a real late start.  Solar Activity is  Low because we had a C-class flare yesterday.  The region with pores I have been imaging at the Eastern Limb has finally been named as AR2602.  Three active regions today with a total region of 300 millionths.  The spot count today is at 10.  Again full disk images as well as close up of the reported active regions as well as a Ha and CaK image of the remnants visible at the Western limb of the old AR2598 and AR2601.

Clear skies, but bad seeing.  Solar Activity remains Very Low.  Four regions today with a lower total active region area today than yesterday.  AR2599 remained a Cko and AR2600 a Hsx.  Total active region area is at 400 millionths with a total spot count of 16.  Today some more images than usual, including again a close up of what I mistakenly called yesterday AR2601, but really was not named yet, as well as some proms around the Sun.

Clear Skies today, with a little above average seeing.  Solar Activity continues to be Very Low.  The three active regions have decreased in size as well as the number of sunspots they have.  Total active region area today is at 440 millionths and the spot count is at 24.  while the regions are getting smaller, the spots shown yesterday at the Eastern limb have been named as AR2601.  Despite this, the last flare we have had was a B-class flare on the 9th.  Today full disk images and close ups of the 4 active regions.

A few scattered clouds and seeing below average, but the wind is coming from the West again!  Solar Activity is Very Low.  Both AR2598 and AR2600 have grown a little, while AR2599 stays at 400 millionths today as a Cko area on the McIntosh scale.  Total active region area for the hemisphere is at 640 millionths with a spot count of 28.  The prominences from yesterday have disappeared for the most.  Today full disk images and close ups of the mentioned regions.
