Following a cloudy and rainy period, another clear day.  Yesterday a few pores opened in the western hemisphere which became AR2700. In addition we see a few small proms at the eastern and south eastern limb. Total Active Region Area today is 30 millionths with a spot count of 6. Today full disk images as well as a close up of AR2700.

The Sun 2018-02-18.  AR2699 came to an end yesterday so today we are registering spotless day 159. However, the Sun is not completely featureless.  A small filament is visible in the SW quadrant.  Today full disk images and a close up of the filament in Ha.

Another opportunity to capture a few solar images on 2018-02-05.  Following a few days of seeing some pores or small spots and no spots, a new spot came around the eastern limb late yesterday AR2699.  Today’s region area is 80 millionths and the spot count is 1. Today full disk images as well as close ups of the new region.
