Clear skies and hot this morning.  Well, the reverse polarized area that was visible yesterday was not named, and  decayed again. And today the pores were not visible anymore.  However we have some nice proms at the Eastern limb and a nice filament in the NE quadrant near the NE limb.

A new area started popping up a little ahead of the small plage visible the last few days. Its polarity is consistent with that of C25 areas. We’ll wait to see if they increase to spots and will be named.  In addition the nice filament at the NW limb is starting to rotate to the far side of the Sun.   Today images and close ups of the mentioned regions.

Clear skies with good seeing.  Another spotless day with the northern filaments slowly moving towards the Western limb following the Sun’s rotation.  The current spotless streak is at 9 days while we are also at spotless day 448 since solar maximum.  Only full disk images today.

Thin clouds from horizon to horizon interwoven with con-trails, were the cause for poor transparency, especially during the CaK capture.  Another spotless day.  The only thing I could make out was the filaments far north and to small proms.  So today only full disk images and my apologies for the quality.

Clear Skies with great seeing.  Another spotless day.  The area I observed popping up two days ago developed further and showed two small pores later in the day as well as the next day.  Guess what.  My mount did not want to work yesterday for my observing session, so I did not get any images of the two small pores.  Today they were gone, but the area is still visible in Ha and CaK. I did not make any closeups since I had to use my SLT mount.

Clear skies with good seeing.  Another spotless day.  While I was imaging I noticed a new small area which showed some activity near the Eastern limb. It turns out its polarization is as a C24 area, but it showed up in Ha, CaK, and even as a small faculae in the 540nm image.  Today close ups of the full disk as well as the mentioned area.

Clear skies, but my mount was acting up.  Another spotless day. A blank Sun with the exception of a few faint proms at the Western limb.  In addition, we noticed some very small reverse polarized areas in the Northern hemisphere.   Yesterday I only managed to capture one image in 540nm.  So today full disk images in the three wavelengths as well as yesterday’s image in 540nm.

A short and early session.  The spotless days are continuing….  AR2741 has turned to the far side.  A prom is visible at the SW limb of the Sun in Ha. So we’ll see how long the spotless streak will last.  Also the small plage which I mentioned yesterday continues and another is visible to the West of this one.  For the rest the Sun is Very Quiet.

An early session today.  AR2741 is still visible, and some flaring was happening to the NE of AR2741, nicely visible in CaK and Ha.  It will be interesting to see if this becomes a new active region.  The proms at the NW limb don’t show today, but instead a new one at the SW limb. Total Active Region Area for today is 150 millionths with 3 spots.
