The skies cleared up during the night. Seeing was pretty good at 8/10. Four Active Regions today with a total spot area of 390 millionths and a spot count of 31. AR2494 stays the dominant area with 270 millionths. Flare activity Medium with 8 C-class flares in the last two days, four of which occurred in AR2494. Three full disk images today and close ups of some regions as identified on the images, as well as a prominence at the Western limb.

A break in between cloudy skies, long enough for a complete set of images. Seeing was 7/10. The Sun’s activity is Medium today with 20 C-class flares in the last two days. AR2494 is now the dominant region being a Dai on the McIntosh scale. Its size measures 230 millionths of the total sunspot regions at 400 millionths. Total sunspot count today for the 6 regions today is 40. Images today include full disk in all 3 wavelength as well as close ups of AR2494 and other spots/regions.

Another clear day with clear skies, and seeing at 8/10 on 2016-01-30. Solar activity has dropped a little since yesterday and is now at Low with 3 C-Class flares in the last two days. Total active region area is today at 460 millionths, and AR2489 is still at 300. The total sunspot count is today at 19. Seeing was so good now and then that I also took the C11 out for a white light image. Today images in all wavelengths I have equipment for.

Seeing was variable today 2016-01-29, and around 6/10. Solar activity has picked up and is now medium and registered 7 C-Class flares in the last two days, all in AR2488. This region scores a Dai on the McIntosh scale. Total Solar Region area has increased to 540 millionths of which AR2489 accounts for 300. Total sunspot count increased to 34. Today only full disk images in CaK and 540nmWL since I missed to lock the camera for the Ha session. Close ups of all wavelengths.

Clear skies following the massive East coast storm. Seeing was also very good at 9/10. Solar activity is low today with two C-class flares in the last two days. Three active regions today with the Dai region, AR2488, being 120 millionths. Total region area is at 170 millionths and the total spot count at 24. Today full disk images as well as close ups of the three regions.

Sunny skies again with a bit better seeing as yesterday. Flare activity stays at very low with no flares in the last two days. Both regions AR2480 and AR2486 are now Hsx on the McIntosh scale. Total Active Region area for the four regions today totals at 280 millionths with a sunspot count of 8. Three full disk images today with close ups of AR2486.

Temps in the mid 30s this morning while I was setting up, wind gusts, and the seeing barely at 4/10 when I started imaging. The Sun continues its activity level of very low with no flares in the last two days. The new active region which showed up yesterday is named as AR2486. Total active region area has increased to 260 millionth and AR2480 has even increased to 260millionth and still is an Hsx. Sunspot count is still at 8. Today only three full disk images and a close up of the eastern quadrant with a prominence at the eastern limb.

Transparency was good, but seeing mediocre at 4/10. The Sun drops again to very low activity with no flares in the last two days. Three active regions reported today with a new one emerging, but not named yet from the Eastern limb. Total active region area today is at 210 millionths with the Hsx category AR2480 being the largest at 130. Total sunspots today remains at 8. Three full disk images today with close ups of the regions and a Prominence at the western limb.

Clouds did break a bit and left a few breaks for some images, however overall seeing was low at 4/10. Solar activity is low today with 4 C-class flares and 3 regions. AR2480 and 83 keep decaying, but AR2480 still managed to release those flares. Both spots are now Hsx class spots on the McIntosh scale. Total Active Region area today is 250 millionths and the total spot count is at 8, while the large filament, which is now in the NW quadrant still shows nice.

Clear Skies today until I started capturing in Ha, that’s when the clouds started to arrive. The Sun’s activity is still very low with no C-class flares in the last two days. The two active regions 2480 and 83 are slowly decaying further, but the dark filament in the NE quadrant has gotten a small companion. Conditions were not good so the images are accordingly. Total Spot Region area for the Sun is at 280 millionths with each area accounting for half. Total Sunspot count getting lower and is down from 9 to 6.
