Clear Skies today, but very windy and bad seeing conditions, mostly around 5/10. Solar activity today is Low with only one C-class flare in the last two days. There are only two Active Regions, and the total Active Region Area is just 50 millionths. And with this the Sun only shows 5 sunspots. Because of the bad seeing, today only three full disk images and close ups of AR2501 and AR2506. The seeing conditions were too bad during the CaK and WL sessions.

9 Days of consecutive observing with one exception. Wow. However, tomorrow we are starting a series of 4 or 5 cloudy days. The Solar activity today was still rated Medium thanks to 13 Flares in the last two days, but today the three active regions on the hemisphere facing us only produced one C-Class flare. Now where AR2497 has turned out of our view, the total Active Region area is only at 70 millionths with a total spot count of 5. Today three full disk images and a few close ups of the three active regions as well as a Prom at the SW limb.

This morning clear skies with improved seeing 8/10. The Solar activity is still Medium although AR2497 has been extremely busy producing 18 C-class flares in the last two days. AR2501 has formed with a nice Hsx spot. AR2497 is still the dominant area but is getting ready to turn to the far side of the Sun and shows some nice spots with the Wilson effect. Total active region area today is 310 millionths of which AR2497 covers 240. Total spot count today is down to 18. In addition to the three active regions, the solar limbs show some nice prominences. A nice hedgerow and pillar prom at the Western limb and an unconnected loop at the Eastern. Today 8 images of which 3 are full disk.

AR2497, an Eac on the McIntosh scale today, is getting smaller again with a size of 220 millionths out of 230 for the total areas. Two active regions only today with a sunspot count of 26. Three full disk images today with three close ups in Ha. One of them of the prominence at the Eastern limb.

A cold morning with clear skies, but poor seeing at 6/10. Quinten came over to take a look at my setup, and to look at the different ways you can look at the Sun. The solar activity is Medium with two M-class flares and 8 C-class flares. Instead of further declining, AR2497 has perked up a bit to 250 millionths again, and has even produced the two M-Class flares. I was fortunately enough to see one of them and capture the end of the M-1.8 flare in both Ha and CaK. Today the Sun shows 5 active regions with a total area of 290 millionths. The spot count for today went down to 24. Today again, three full disk images as well as close ups of AR2497 showing the flare in Ha and CaK.

Clear Skies with seeing at 7/10. Solar activity is Medium with 1 M-Class and 6 C-Class flares in the last two days. Today 4 Active Regions with a total region area of 250 millionth and the decaying region AR2497 still at 180 millionth, and a Eac on the McIntosh scale. Total spot count today is 28. It is interesting to note that we are back in M-Class territory even if it is low. When I started imaging in CaK I noticed a flare in AR2497 which turned out to be a C 6.8 at its peak. When I got to the Ha images the flare was still there but not as intense as it was a few minutes before.
