Today a follow up on the analysis I did regarding the reverse polarized areas during the Solar Minimum over the last four years. I did publish several reports about this during the time I was working on this, but I don’t believe that the complete list is still accessible on the internet.   The first area I detected was on December 21, 2016 and I stopped recording them in my summary, when  Cycle 24 polarized areas became very few at the end of February 2020.   Click on the link below to see or download the overview.

This morning some clear skies and the beginning of Carrington Rotation 2236.  The Sun remains Spotless and feature less today.  A very faint prominence was observed at the SE limb, but it was hardly to see and for the rest the Sun has really Very Low Activity.

Clear skies with bad seeing conditions today.  The Sun remains spotless.  I made a mistake yesterday with my initial posting.  It was not the 868th spotless day, but the 848th.  I did correct it subsequent in my blog and on Facebook.  The plage associated with Active Region AR2773 is starting to approach the Western limb.   So today possibly  the last closeups of that region.

Clear skies today.  Another spotless day for spotless day 848 since Solar maximum, and spotless day 6 in the current streak.  S.I.D.C reported for September a spot number of 1.0.  Full disk images and closeups of the plage and faculae of the old AR2773, as well as a CaK closeup of a small plage in CaK in the SE quadrant.

I had some appointments this morning, but was able to observe and image after I came back.  The Sun remains spotless .  Today three full disk images and close ups in Ha and CaK of the plage of the old AR2773.

Clear skies after nine days of clouds.  Since my last observing session, a spot AR2773 was named and showed for less than a day twice.  However, in CaK and Ha this area still shows nicely.  I tried to capture it in 540nm but I only see a number of very small pores.  Today full disk images and a close up of the mentioned region, as well as a closeup of a small plage visible in CaK in the SW quadrant.

I did not have enough time to finish my normal observations on the Fall Equinox.  Cirrus clouds and contrails streaked the sky, which made for a very challenging session.  Well, the sunspot did not come around, but we see a very nice faculae in the 540nm close up, and possible a very small pore.  The same area shows as a nice plage in Ha.  However, I could not get an equal exposed Ha image.  Too many clouds were streaking through.  So this is the best I got.  One item to note is that the area is Cycle 25 polarized.

Clear Skies after another series of cloudy days.  The Sun remains spotless for spotless day 31 in the current streak, but Stereo-A images reveal that a spot might be coming around the NE-limb.  But so far no spot to see yet.  In the meantime we could observe a very nice prom on the SE limb.  Today full disk images and closeups of the mentioned prom.

A few clouds this morning but time enough for some images.  The Sun remains spotless, although a new area of activity seems to have emerged in the NW quadrant approaching the Western limb.  It is nicely visible in CaK and Ha.  I wonder if this might develop into a new active region.  Today full disk images as well as close ups of the 2 areas in Ha and CaK.
