Clear skies with average seeing today.  Solar Activity is Very Low with no C-class flares in the last two days. Remember, the last C-class flares happened on August 31st.  The single region AR2585 today covers an area of 420 millionths and is classified as an Eki on the McIntosh scale.  Total spot count is 12.  Today full disk images again, and close ups of the regions in all three wavelengths, and  it looks like AR2587 might be popping back up again.

A clear morning with very good seeing.  Solar Activity is Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  AR2585 has become a little smaller with 550 millionths.  Total Active Region Area is at 560 millionths with three regions.  Total sunspot count is at 29.  Mu close up in Ha of region AR2585 today is through the C11 and shows nice details of the penumbra and solar granulation.  Full disk images as well as close ups in the three wavelengths.

A lot of clouds during my observing session this morning, resulting in variable seeing conditions.  Today the Solar activity is Very Low with no flares in the last two days despite the large active region AR2585.  Its area covers 590 millionths of the 690 for the total of the disk.   Total spot count for today is 16.  Full disk images today with close ups of AR2585 and 86  as well as the nice filament.

Clear Skies, but did not have  much time.  Did not have time to process until 9/2 when it would be rainy and cloudy anyway.  Solar Activity is Low on the first with 2 Flares in the last two days.  Total Active Region Area accounts for 575 millionths for the five regions.  AR2584 has a size of 230 millionths which is a similar size as AR2574 was on August 12th.  Total spot count is at 41.  North of the new regions we see the very nice and large filament arching towards the Eastern limb.  Today full disk images as well as close ups of some of the areas.

This is my 1100 st. post in my Blog!  I still remember vividly when I started it many years ago. The sky was clear this morning with better than average seeing.  Today’s Solar Activity is Low with three C-class flares in the last two days.  We have 4 named regions and at some not named yet.  Total Active Region Area today is at 290 millionths with a total spot count of 24.  The prom at the NE limb from yesterday shows today as a very nice filament.  Also two regions at the Eastern limb have not been named yet, but should be today. And while they rotate further West, AR2582 and 83 are ready to turn to the far side of the Sun.  Today full disk images as well as close ups of the regions.

Clear Skies with average seeing.   Solar Activity is still Low with 4 C-class flares.  Total Active Region Area has increased to 350 millionth mainly of the increase of AR2583.  Both AR2581 and 2 are Cso classifies whereas the others are unchanged.  Total spot count today is at 27.  Today full disk images as well as close ups of the areas.  A new plage is visible in Ha as well as CaK at the Eastern limb.  Also note the proms at the Eastern limb.

It took a while for the clouds to break up a little.  Seeing today was average.  Solar Activity has been raised to Low today because of three C-class flares in the last two days in the new region AR2583.  Total Active Region Area today is at 200 millionths for the four regions.  Total spot count is at 24.  AR2581 is a Cao region, AR2582 and 83 are Dao, while AR2580 has decayed to a Crx on the McIntosh scale.  Today full disk images as well as close ups in three wavelengths for the regions.

Broken skies again this morning with average seeing.  Solar Activity is still Very Low with no C-class flares in the last two days.  We have three active regions AR2580, 81 and 82 with a total region area of 130 millionths and a total spot count of 22.  Today I made sure my close ups were focused properly :-) so we have full disk images as well as close ups of the three regions.  A few nice filaments are visible.

Broken skies with below average seeing today.  Solar Activity today is still Very Low with no C-class flares in the last two days. Total Active Region Area today is at 110 millionths and the three regions support 14 sunspots.  I don’t know what happened, but the three close ups in 540nm came out terrible.  Most likely I thought I finished focusing, but during the processing, it turned out the data I captured was unusable.  So today three full disk images and close ups in Ha and CaK only.

I spend some time putting together a composite, showing how the morphology evolved for the two areas AR2565 and AR2567 between July 11th and July 24th, when they were visible for us during Carrington Rotation 2179.  The composition shows the Active Regions as seen filtered in 540nm as well as Ha. The thumbnail is quite fuzzy, so click the full sized icon above the image to see the full resolution image.
