The forecast for today is 104 degrees.  And the Sun knows it, because it is showing a beautiful prominence on the SE limb.  The prom that was there yesterday has developped (?) in a massive structure.  Despite the heat, I made a 45 minute animation of it and am processing the images.  In addition, AR1512 and 15 released several C class flares, while 1513 showed a M 2.2 flare this morning.  The sun shows activity again :-)

An interesting sun again today.  We have 4 active regions 1512, 13, 14, and 15, almost all of them in the SE quadrant.  They all keep growing and more activity seems to be coming on the eastern limb.  In addition there are some very nice filaments in the SW quadrant west of 1512, and 2 very nice proms, one on each side of the solar disk.

Some nice areas are turning into our view.  Four named areas today 1510,11,12 and 13.  A lot still happening around 1512.  And not to forget the nice prominences actually all around the solar disk.

Frank has been talking about imaging the Purbach cross for almost a year.  For some reason we were under the assumption that it would be visible 4 hours before 1st Quarter.  So we went yesterday and soon found out that we were too late.  The cross is made up of the walls of the craters Purbach A, Blanchinus and La Caille.  This morning i did research the times and we should have been there a lot earlier like 9:00 AM.  however the moon did not rise until after 1:00.  The next opportunity to image this would be on November 20, after 6 or 7 PM.

One of the things in looking for the cross made us search all along the terminator, where we found another one adjacent to the crater Pallas.

A very clear day today but a bit windy.  The sun shows some nice activity today.  A nice flare at 1512 and some nice prominences.  The entire area around 1512 seems to be disturbed.  I am adding a close up of this region.

Today only one active region AR1511.  A few prominences around the solar disk, but not much solar activity.  So far today only one C2.7 flare.  So I took the PST-CaK and made an additional Ca image today.

The first images in a new rotation cycle.  AR1504 is still visible, but the others are on the backside or have been removed.  A large unstable area is visible at the eastern side of the solar disk.  In adition a few nice promiences and filaments.

Today most of the visible sunspots from yesterday turned to the backside of the sun.  Only 1504 and 1510 are still visible.  A nice filament is building up and a prominence is visible at the norther limb of the sun today.

A new active region today: AR1510.  Ar1504,05,06 and 07 are almost disappearing in the west.  Wondering what is in store for us.  Stereo Behind is showing some nice structures for us for the coming days.

The busy active regions area is moving close to the western limb and AR1509 has disappeared.  The large filament from earlier this week is broken up.  Other than a few B and C class flares not much activity today.
