After a week of bad weather and the ALCon2013 conference at Fernbank Science Center, finally a few hours of sunshine.  The sun displays a few nice active regions.  AR1800 looks very impressive as it moves to the western limb.  But today we had a splendid display of prominences.  Included an image of the prom at the Eastern limb as well as an image and time lapse of the leaping prom at the Western limb. Click the last image below  on the right to see the time lapse.
