Clear and transparent skies but seeing was poor.  Another spotless day.  We had a one day region, AR2684, but its gone again.  A few small prominences appear at the Western and South Eastern limbs.

Clear skies for a change with average seeing conditions. No active regions or sunspots on the solar disk today, making it spotless day 95. (the three previous days were spotless also).  There is some plasma moving in a small filament, and we have some prominences in the four quadrants.  So after all, still some nice visible activity in Ha.

Well the third hurricane to affect the weather in Atlanta moved through, but I did use the cloudy/stormy weather to make some composites showing how the active regions AR2673 and AR2783 were visible during the days I could observe them.  Especially AR2683 shows how the area evolved through the different McIntosh classifications as well as how it increased in Active Region Area over the period.

Seeing was average this morning.  Solar Activity is Low with one C-class flare in the last two days. We still have two Active Regions before AR2682 turns to the backside.  It still is visible almost at the edge. Total Active Region Area for today is 400 millionths and the total spot count today is 6. The filaments around AR2682 and 83 are starting to show up nice as prominences at the Western limb and a smaller prom is also visible at the Eastern limb.

Had the time to put two more composites together, covering the time from 9/25 through 10/6. This time Ha filtered images. One for AR2682 and one for AR2683.

Seeing still below average.  Solar activity at the beginning of the day was Very Low with no flare in the last two days, however, today we did see one C1.0 flare.  Total Active Region area for the Sun is at 430 millionths and total spot count went up from 5 to 7.  Did not see any prominences and the filament from a few days ago has deteriorated even more today.  The filament in the AR2683 and AR2682 area is still nice visible and hopefully will show up nice when the area moves to the far side.

Seeing was below average on October 4th.  Solar Activity remains Very Low with no flares in the last two days. We still have two regions AR2682 covering 120 millionths and AR2683 still growing and covering an area of 330 millionths.  Total sunspot count remains at 5.  Some filaments are still very nice defined, however the one filament near the meridian is deteriorating. Full disk images today as well as close ups of the mentioned regions.

Solar Activity for 2017-10-03 is Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  We have two regions AR2682 and 2683 covering 110 and 290 millionths with a total of 5 sunspots.  A very nice prominence is visible as well as a nice prom in the SE limb.  A series of low proms can be seen at the Western limb.

Clear skies again but breezy and average seeing.  solar Activity today is Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  We still have three active regions with a Total Active Region Area of 440 millionths and total of 8 sun spots.  Some nice filaments are seen at in the NE quadrant and a number of prominences around the solar disk.  Today full disk images as well as close ups in three wavelengths.
