This morning’s session was a fight with the clouds for a sucker hole, but I got it.  Seeing was average with bad transparency. AR2713 only covers 10 millionths this morning with 3 sunspots.  Solar Activity remains Very Low with no qualifying flares in the last two days.  The small pore from yesterday is gone.  Today two full disk images in 540nm and CaK with close ups of AR2713.

Clear Skies with good transparency and seeing.  Solar Activity is Very Low with no C class flares or higher in the last two day.  Despite the deterioration of AR2713, the region did produce 2 small B-class flares already this morning.  I noticed a small pore in 540nm between AR2713 and the Eastern limb, which did not show up well in the close up. Total Active Region Area for today is 30 millionths with 6 spots. Since My SM40 is still at Meade, today two full disk images in CaK and 540nm and close ups of the mentioned areas.

Clear skies with good transparency and seeing.  Nothing new on the sun today.  Whatever was left of the plage is barely visible in CaK.  Solar Activity remains Very Low on Spotless day 225 with no flares in the last two days.  Two full disk images in CaK and 540nm as well as a close up of the NW quadrant.

Clear Skies with good seeing and transparency.  Solar Activity is Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  The area with the plage is even deteriorating more in CaK. Today is Spotless day 224.  Today two full disk images in 540nm and CaK, as well a closeup of what’s left of the plage.

Clear Skies this morning with great seeing and transparency.  Solar Activity is Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  In fact we have a spotless Sun today again for spotless day 222 since Solar Max. Two full disk images today with a close up in the two wavelengths of the area of the plage visible in CaK.

Seeing was good today, but transparency was terrible.  No Active Regions today and Solar Activity is Very Low.  This marks spotless day 221.  Two full disk images in visual light and CaK with a close up of the plage in CaK.

Very stable skies this morning with excellent seeing and transparency.  Since my last post the Sun only produced 2 more B-class flares resulting in Very Low Solar Activity for today. AR2712 has decayed to 10 millionths and 6 spots and is about to turn to the backside of the Sun. Today two full disk images, one in visible light, the second in CaK.  In addition a close up in both wavelengths of AR2712 at the Western Limb.

Broken skies today with average to very bad seeing. (CaK did not come out at all) In addition, I was handicapped today, because two weeks ago I did send in my SolarMax-40, which I use for my Ha images, for repairs. The scope started to develop (ghost) images about a year ago. Because of the solar eclipse last year August, I did purchase a new replacement blocking filter, which solved the problem, but I wanted the scope to get a checkout, and finally did send it away. I’ve been told it can take 8 weeks….

Solar Activity is Very Low today because no C or higher flares were observed. This does not take away that the sun was pretty active producing B class flares to the tune of 4 so far today, and 7 yesterday! AR2712 has decayed to 30 millionths and still contains 10 spots. So this limits my images today to visible light only. A full disk image and a close up of AR2712 and a plage at eastern side of the sun.
