We had some intermittent clouds when Marie Lott came over for imaging the Sun on 5/31. We together captured the 540nm and the k-line images. We had to be patient between the clouds, but it worked out well. Here the full disk images and the close ups of region AR2827 and what was left of AR2828 as a pore in WL.

Clear skies, with good seeing. AR2826 has almost reached the western edge of the visible Sun, but still can nicely be seen in today’s imaging. Both regions AR2824 and 26 have become a bit more active and produced some B- and C-class flares and have grown in size as well. Its too bad both regions will disappear soon, but hopefully they will come back soon.

Clear skies. AR2825 has decayed to a plage. AR2824 has also decayed some more, but the new region visible in the CaK close up on the 24th has grown very substantial and has been named AR2826. It only produced some C-class flares so far. Interesting to see if this new area will continue to grow before it turns to the backside of the Sun and if it becomes more active.

Against expectations we had clear skies with good seeing. AR2824 has increased the number of spots and is classified as a Csi and covers 190 millionths. The rapid sequence of M-class flares from two days ago has stopped with an M1 flare around 1100 UT yesterday morning. Since then it only produced B and C-class flares. AR2825 is stable. Another pore could be observed West of AR2824 which can be seen in the CaK closeup. Today full disk images as well as close ups of the regions and an closeup of two proms at the SE limb.

AR2822 has turned around the western edge of the Sun and AR2824 is now in full view, still in the eastern quadrant. It has increased its coverage area which is now 150 millionths, but has shown very little activity in the last 24 hours. The structures around AR2824 look very nice in Ha, as well as a good sized filament in the NE quadrant.

Clear skies with average seeing. AR2822 seems to be stable and classified as an Hsx, is the only Sunspot left for the moment.

The new area we saw yesterday was very unstable and decayed instead of being named. AR2823 has decayed to a plage and only a hardly visible pore could be seen in the 540nm closeup. So we are ending up with one named active region today. AR2822 however has also further decayed. Leaves us to wonder what will happen next….. Today full disk images and close ups of the mentioned areas.

Clear skies with average seeing. Both areas have further decayed and cover and AR2823 has almost become a plage only. A new pore has emerged West of AR2822 and clearly visible in the CaK closeup of AR2822. It might even become named before it turns around the Western limb.

Another morning with clear skies and average seeing. Both AR2822 and AR2823 have decayed somewhat, and cover today 100 and respectively 10 millionths of the visible Sun. Full disk images and close ups of the regions as usual.

Clear skies with average seeing. AR2822, which is classified as a Dao, has surpassed the meridian and now shows in the Western quadrant of the Sun. AR2823, a Hrx, is approaching the meridian. Activity has been low for both regions. Today full disk images and close ups of the Regions.
