Thin high cirrus clouds and con-trails streaking through during my observing session.  Seeing 5/10.  Solar activity is still classified as Low with only four C-class flares in the last two days.  We still have 6 Active Regions but the total region area has increased from 260 to 300 millionths.  Total Spots for today is still at 24.  Today’s images include full disk images and close ups of several regions in different wavelengths and the area around AR2535, 36, 38 and 39 looks great in CaK..

Cloudy morning, but it cleared up surprisingly in the afternoon.  Seeing and transparency good.  Today’s solar activity is Low with only 4 C-class flares in the last two days.  The number of active regions is on the rise as well as the sunspots.  Today’s total region area is at 280 millionths with 26 sunspots between the 6 regions.  Observing session turned out great and was able to capture the three full disk images as well as close ups of the different regions in different wavelengths.  The Sun looks great with all the plagues and B-class flares.

Clear Skies this morning before the clouds came in.  Seeing 7/10.  Solar activity is still Very Low with no C-class flares in the last two days, however the close up of AR2532 shows the end of a B5.7 flare close to the Western limb.  Flare activity is on the rise since several of the recent flares were in the high B-class.  Total Active regions today is 5 with the total active region area being 200 millionths.  Total sunspots for today is 15.  Todays images include full disk images in the three wavelengths and close ups of several regions as noted on the images.

Broken ceiling again this morning with seeing at 7/10.  Had to wait for approx. 40 min following my H-a session for a sucker hole big enough for the CaK.  AR2534 was short lived, although its location can still be seen.  Today we have only 3 Active Regions with a total area of 140 millionths.  The three regions had a total of 7 spots and Solar activity is Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  Today full disk images and close ups of several of the regions as noted on the images.

Broken ceiling again today with mediocre seeing at 4/10.  Solar activity is still Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  Some activity can be seen brewing at the ENE limb where AR2534 and 35 have formed.  Total Active Region Area is at 210 millionths today between the four areas.  Total Sunspot count is up to 6 from yesterday’s 1.  Captured three full disk images and close ups of some of the regions and some Prom activity at the ENE limb around the AR2535 area.

Great clear skies again with seeing at 8-9/10.  Solar activity today is Very Low again with no (C-class) flares in the last two days. In fact there were only three B-class flares in the period.  AR2532 has deteriorated to a level where it is not registered any more.  Today only 1 Active Region with one Sunspot, giving a Wolf number of 11.  Active region size for AR2533 has grown from 60 to 80 millionths and stays an Hsx region on the McIntosh scale.  Today three full disk images in three wavelengths as well as close ups of the regions.

Clear Skies with seeing at 8/10.  Solar activity is Very Low today with no flares in the last two days. The two Active Regions AR2532 and AR2533 are pretty small with 10 and 60 millionths.  Only two regions today with a total Spot count of 2.  Made three full disk images and close ups of the two regions.

This is my 1000th Astronomy Blog on my http://ceastronomy.org/tramakers site.  It has been a while since I started this, but it just keeps going and going…..
This time a special view of AR2529.  A composite of 14 days of activity in H-a of  this Active Region, shown in 10 images. (Click the thumbnail to see the full image)  All the way from when it announced its arrival on April 7th when it became noticeable at the Eastern Limb, to April 20th, when we barely could see the plasma levitation above the region when it was at the Western limb. It has been a while since we had a Region of this size.  AR2422 reached over 800 millionths Last year September 30th and October 1st.  So these 2 weeks have been exciting.

Clear skies for a change (for a little).  Seeing approx. 8/10.  Solar activity today is Very Low with no flares in the last two days.  Now, where AR2529 is gone, the active region total is down to 90 millionths with only 4 spots in two regions. I  did my normal run, but forgot to take  flats, so some Newton rings slipped in again.  Also, I did not break out AR2532 in CaK. Sorry for that.

The Sun 2016-04-20.  Another day with restricted transparency, but a hole just big enough with thin clouds allowed me to run my normal capture targets, with seeing being around 5/10.  I thought that AR2529 would not be visible anymore, but it was still to be seen in both H-a as well as CaK.  Today three full disk images and close ups of AR2529 as well as AR2532. Solar activity is low with only one C-class flare in the last two days and the total active region area stays at 640 millionths between the two regions.
