A spotless day with very bad seeing conditions.  Solar Activity remains Very Low.  All that remains from AR2728 is a plage in Ha and CaK.  A few good sized prominences  are visible on the NE, SE and NW limbs, however because of the bad seeing, close up captures did not result in presentable images, so the best I could do was to include the proms in the full disk Ha image.

Well, I reached another milestone.  This is my 1500th. post in this blog since I started it in 2008.  I hope I will be able to continue this for a good number of years more!
For this morning’s session the skies were clear and the seeing was good.  However it is a spotless day.  Some small filaments were visible near the S limb and a nice prominence was visible at the SE limb.  For the rest, the Sun is taking a nap.

Clouds cleared just after 11.  Seeing was below average.  AR2727 can still be seen just at the western limb.  Total Active region area is 20 millionths and  two spots.  A small prom is visible as well as a small plage near the Eastern limb.  Other than this the sun is quiet.

Clear skies again with good seeing.  Solar Activity remains Very Low as AR2727 is still very distinctly visible.  It covers 60 millionths and contains 3 spots.  The small region from yesterday is still a bit visible in CaK but I did not see it in Ha or 540nm.  I did capture this area together with few small filaments but could not make it out.  The magnetogram shows that it is/was  a Cycle 25 plage.  Proms were just at the surface level and not distinct.

Clear skies and around freezing at the time of my observations.  But the seeing conditions are good.  AR2727 looks great and in the northern hemisphere another tiny area is visible in CaK as well as in Ha, and has reverse polarity in the magnetogram.  Looking closely in WL I believe to be able to make out a small pore.  Some faint filaments close to the S limb and small and faint proms at the SE, NW and Western limb. Activity remains Very Los with no flares in the last few days.

Finally clear skies, but the seeing conditions were terrible.  A new active region has popped up yesterday but I had a lot of trouble imaging and processing it because of the seeing conditions, so the result lets much be desired.  A few small filaments were visible at the NE and SW limbs as well as some small proms at the SE and NW limbs.

Clear Skies with below average seeing. The weak area from yesterday has increased and is nicely visible in Ha and CaK, however I did not see it in 540nm at the time of my observation.  When I checked the Big Bear Observatory’s report, which is one of the reporting facilities for SWPC, they did not report it either. Although it seems that a pore or spot started to form, visible in WL,  shortly after my observation.  Will see if it shows up on SWPC’s SRS report for today. In addition, a few prominences were visible at the NE, NW and SW limbs. We now have reached the same number of spotless days (24) in the current streak as the previous highest streak, which ended July 21st.

Clear skies but windy this morning,  with seeing below average.  The pore  which was reported a few days ago has disappeared and shows as a small very weak region still visible in Ha and CaK.  In addition we see two nice prominences in the NE and SW and a few small filaments to the NE of the mentioned weak region.  For the rest the sun is quiet.

Clear skies while the sun was obstructed by my neighbor’s trees. When the Sun cleared, the clouds moved in.  I was only able to get full disk images through some holes in the clouds, although they were impacted by the moving clouds, and the session finished, when the low power in my laptop shut it down.  Another spotless day.

Clear skies with average seeing this morning.  The Sun is still spotless on spotless day 324.  We can make out a few small filaments in the South, and some faint proms in the NE, NW and SW.  In addition in Ha and CaK it looked like a small plage wanted to form, just to the East of the central meridian.
